Traffic

I wrote this on my notes in my phone last week...  I was stopped in traffic... :)

Sitting in traffic, and watching all the impatient people.  It was kinda comical, but got me thinking...  Really?  You are really THAT impatient that you have to go off in the grass alongside the road for a mile before hitting a road where you can turn around?  Other people were trying to get in the other lane, only to find it was closed.
Even though its tough sitting in traffic, and waiting, sometimes that's what we need to do, because it's the right path to take. Sometimes we have to sit and not knowing WHY we are sitting in traffic...  We do that with God too....  But we get so impatient we just go off on our own path, thinking, well, this way is better, it's quicker...
Hmph, you sure about that?
How many times have you gone your own way to only realize you should've stayed where you were?  Same thing in your own life... (Proverbs 16:1 - We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the the right to answer.)
Our path is narrow and rough, it's not always going to be smooth, but if our life was always smooth, then we wouldn't have reason to trust God.  Or we wouldn't get to see His promises and AWESOME PERFECT plan for our lives!
Deuteronomy 5:33
Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow.  Then you will live long and prosperous in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

Matthew 7:13,14
You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it's gate is wide for the many who choose that way.
But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only few ever find it.

Also Jeremiah 29:11

It's an old verse that gets repeated alot, but it really is true!  :)

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”

I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.”

Psalm 119:30

(Ok, I am adding this bottom part now tonight... )

Keep trusting and keep your faith in and on Him.  He has a plan for you.  Trust me.  He's not done with you.  And He isn't done with me.

Even with all the bad, keep praising him and THANKING Him for all He's given you.  Yes, even in the bad.  Why?  Ok, with my dad, I'm thankful for his life here on earth, but I'm thankful my God took him Home.  And no, I am not being harsh!  I miss my dad, but there has been so much that has come out of it!  AND that's what my dad wanted!  It's what i wanted!  I said use me God and He has and I know He isn't done!  My dad gave his blind eyes away, but someone was really truly blind can now see (with the help of coke bottle bottom glasses :))!

God will use you even in the bad, you just have to keep trusting Him.  not always easy, but again, the path isn't supposed to be a bed of roses...  If it was, we wouldn't need God...  I need God. everyday, I need Him...

Let me know if I can pray for you specifically,or if you want to talk, cry, or a listening ear... I'm here... <3

Run-Aways

Wow, this has seriously been an eventful week! Starting off with the whole fabric softener mis-hap, which you can read on here if you didn't see or hear about it! Then Curt left Monday nite, Tuesday, well, it was ok, we had mom's group and the kids were acting up a bit, but nothing too bad... Then Wednesday I had a meeting at the church... It started out ok, the meeting wasn't long at all! Gavin came into the room and said he wanted to go play outside on the playground. I told him no, because I couldn't see him. I said, what if someone came by and picked you up and grabbed you and took you somewhere? Mommy would never see you again and I would be soooo sad! I said, I can't see you, so you need to stay inside. Well, not more than 3 minutes passed and Kotah comes up to me and says, uh, mom, Gavin is trying to go outside. So, I get up, go over to him and talk. I asked him what is he doing? he says, I WANT to play OUTSIDE! I said, bubby, I can't see you, so you can...

Cancelled

What a busy crazy day! Curt left right away this morning around 7 to get his blood taken.  He got back and then Audrey got here.  We played and picked up for a bit then left to go to the Health Department to get our TB test done.  We got there around 10ish and they told us we needed to make an appointment.  So we waited for a bit to make an appointment.  Thankfully they had an opening for today yet.  They only do these tests on Friday, so we really didn't want to have to wait until next Friday if at all possible.  Got an appointment for 1:15 and 1:30.  I was thinking ugh, either no nap and very little nap, but I didn't care!  ;) Got home, cleaned up a bit more, got the kiddos some lunch, then we turned around and left to go back to the Health Department.  (I did NOT see the water guy! ;)) Got back there, got asked some questions, wanted to know why I need the test...  I said adoption.  They saw all the other 5 kids and as...

Update on Dad...

Mom called a little while ago. Dad will be admitted, they aren't sure yet what caused the pain. He had fever, but it now is broken. He is also a little jaundice, so that is why they were/are thinking that his stent moved... They had to poke him 3 different times to try and get an IV in, his veins were so tight because he was in so much pain, he was tensing up. They took some blood from both arms and are still waiting on the results of that. They also did a chest x-ray. So still waiting, but atleast he isn't in any pain. The gave him a shot of morphine to take care of the pain, and it finally worked.
