So I've been doing a lot of thinking lately... shocking, I know! ;)
Anyways, lots of things keep coming to my mind... What can I do, I NEED to do SOMETHING!!!! I just know what?!
There is a tent city behind our Wal*Mart, I am going to go drive and check it out... I need more info... I want to be an Olga, I want to take my TIME and my MONEY and help them... I can't do much, but I can do SOMETHING! I was thinking a cookie for each plus a bowl of chicken rice soup... that stuff fills you up and warms you...
I want to do something everyday this month and then continue doing something into the next and then next... I don't think I'm gonna get to do it everyday this month, but I am challenging myself and my family to do SOMETHING, to give this Christmas away!
We have a roof over our heads and enough food to eat, that makes us rich. I can't complain when I have more than others... Now don't get my wrong, I am not rich, but yet I am...
I have a Christ who loves me and will continue to love me and never leave me! I also have the other few things I mentioned. It's crazy what we take for granted.. I am going to try my hardest to be THANKFUL EVERYDAY for what I have and what I've been blessed with, NO MATTER WHAT is going on!
So my challenge to you, if anyone is reading this... What are YOU going to do to Give This Christmas Away? IT doesn't have to be big, you can take that money that you were gonna use to buy a cup of coffee and give it to someone. That could feed someone off the dollar menu... Or buy that cup of coffee and give it to that homeless man and on the street...

We've been so blessed - in 2007 my then nearly 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. We live in New Zealand and all our family are overseas and so we had to try and deal with the situation all by ourselves. But we suddenly realised how very blessed we were - for one Bianca's medical treatment was all covered by our ministry of health (thank goodness otherwise I have no idea how we would have afforded it) and we suddenly found a family in our local Child Cancer Foundation and other parents walking this journey with us. Last year we planted a tree as we marked the end of treatment and this year we celebrated 1 year off treatment. So I've really been wanting to give back and so the past little while volunteered at the local SPCA and also at the Child Cancer Foundation and along with this the kids and I delivered 30 packets of biscuits we baked to a local retirement village and got to hand out some at some of the dementia patients. What a wonderful rewarding day it was!!!!
