I've got soooo much to do, I should be getting it done, or at least starting to get it all done, but I heard a voice that said, "It's more important to read my Word. That other stuff can wait!" I am thinking, I've got laundry, unload the dishwasher, reload it, clean some stones, put away some cereal, pick up the downstairs, the list goes on.... The voice said, "Sit down and read My Word." I said, But God, I've gotta get it done, or at least get it started! We didn't get school done this morning due to another headache, I NEED to start it so we can do some school when Kotah wakes up! The Voice said, "What's more important, clean house, or reading My Word?" Wow, ok, you're right God! (as if He didn't know that already!!!) But seriously, how many times do we put off doing our devotion's or reading His Word because we have to get one more load of laundry in, or unload the dishwasher, pick up some toys... One thing leads to another, and by that time, it is either time for the kids to wake up, pick them up from school, make dinner... I'll be the 1st one to admit that I've done that, but I've been doing sooo much better! I'll put the kids down for a nap, and then do my devo's and Bible reading. Plus, I don't know about you, but when I get done reading His Word, I feel so much more refreshed and ready to tackle anything that comes my way! Like cleaning the toilets, yuck... (or cleaning up butt powder.... ;o) ) Reminds me of the verse in Philippians 2:14 (say it with me, I KNOW you know it!!!) Do EVERYTHING with OUT complaining or arguing!!!!! (The cap's are my version and the !!!!)
So now, I must go tackle the start of cleaning, unloading, reloading, picking up..... House cleaning here we come!!!! (I also put in the Skillet or Disciple cd, makes it sooo much fun to clean to those awesome cd's!!!! :O) )
