We have been having a GREAT sermon series at church these last couple of weeks!!! Pastor Josh has been talking about James, going through chapter by chapter. What I think is kinda funny is that before he even mentioned about doing this series, I had JUST finished reading the whole book, and last week was the 3rd chapter. Talking about taming the tongue, wow, kinda a slap in your face, make you think chapter!! He also said to read James and Proverbs together, like James 1 and Proverbs 1 on one day, or since Sunday was the 1st, he said to start then, and you would get through all of Proverbs once and James 6 times in this month!!! I am taking him up on the challenge. I'll be honest, some days this week have been hard for me to read it, but I am getting it done! (I know, it's only the 3rd day...) I LOVE reading those 2 books together! How powerful and awesome!!!
Proverbs 3:1 & 2
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.
Proverbs 3:5 & 6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
I challenge you to do the same!
