Neighbor's NEW swing set

See the pic's? Do I need to say anymore??? So yeah, our new neighbor's got a very nice swing set! My kids have been DYING to play on it since they saw the guys installing it! This was last Monday, and the neighbors finally came over that Wednesday to see if they could play with them! So, of course my kids are FLYING high trying to find shorts and shoes to get on to go out and play! (yes, you read right, shorts, potty training Gavin, easier if it is just the pull up to pull down! ) So they finally get outside and they are having TONS of fun, and the next thing I know is Gavin is crying and coming for me! I didn't see what happened, but I know what happend! The older boy was swinging and he was up in the air in the behind, and Gavin went to go in front and didn't see him because he was up in the air, and the next thing Gavin knows, he was seriously eatting the dirt!!!!!!! The neighbor boy could NOT stop fast enough or do anything to prevent from hitting Gavin! He felt bad! Even his younger brother started HITTING him and BEATING his brother up for hitting Gavin! I took Gavin in and got him all cleaned up, after taking some pics of course, then he was ready to go back outside!!!!! I don't think I've ever seen that much dirt in anybody's mouth!!!! POOR BOY!!!!!!!!!!!! He even had a little blood in the nose, but he was fine!! He was ready to get back out there and keep playing!!! So I let him, but he hasn't walked in front or behind when somebody is swinging, he justs stays whereever he is! What a hard way to learn not to walk in front or behind a swing in motion!

Run-Aways

Wow, this has seriously been an eventful week! Starting off with the whole fabric softener mis-hap, which you can read on here if you didn't see or hear about it! Then Curt left Monday nite, Tuesday, well, it was ok, we had mom's group and the kids were acting up a bit, but nothing too bad... Then Wednesday I had a meeting at the church... It started out ok, the meeting wasn't long at all! Gavin came into the room and said he wanted to go play outside on the playground. I told him no, because I couldn't see him. I said, what if someone came by and picked you up and grabbed you and took you somewhere? Mommy would never see you again and I would be soooo sad! I said, I can't see you, so you need to stay inside. Well, not more than 3 minutes passed and Kotah comes up to me and says, uh, mom, Gavin is trying to go outside. So, I get up, go over to him and talk. I asked him what is he doing? he says, I WANT to play OUTSIDE! I said, bubby, I can't see you, so you can...

Judah's Wife Book Review

I received this book from Bethany House for free if I agreed to read and then blog about it. Judah's Wife is by Angela Hunt. I've read a few of her books and absolutely enjoyed and loved them!  I was very excited to be picked to read this book! I've honestly not read anything from the books of Maccabees.  This story is the "silent years' between Malachi and Matthew. I really would like find Maccabees now to read it since I've read this book. This book was amazing! Love being able to read stories that really capture what it was like.  Angela Hunt has done this in this book. I really enjoyed how she told it from Judah's side and Leahs side.  It would go back and forth, but it wasn't confusing at all. Talks about Leahs up-bringing and how she struggled. Her father wasn't a real father figure and in time she realizes how much her mother protected her from her father and his blows. She struggles to truly love Judah at first who was somewhat fo...

Cancelled

What a busy crazy day! Curt left right away this morning around 7 to get his blood taken.  He got back and then Audrey got here.  We played and picked up for a bit then left to go to the Health Department to get our TB test done.  We got there around 10ish and they told us we needed to make an appointment.  So we waited for a bit to make an appointment.  Thankfully they had an opening for today yet.  They only do these tests on Friday, so we really didn't want to have to wait until next Friday if at all possible.  Got an appointment for 1:15 and 1:30.  I was thinking ugh, either no nap and very little nap, but I didn't care!  ;) Got home, cleaned up a bit more, got the kiddos some lunch, then we turned around and left to go back to the Health Department.  (I did NOT see the water guy! ;)) Got back there, got asked some questions, wanted to know why I need the test...  I said adoption.  They saw all the other 5 kids and as...
